Hello everyone!
First, as always, please try reading this in English first, but as I wrote in an earlier blog post (available here), you can use a problem like deepl.com or Google Translate to understand this better.
This blog is about a way for Geidai students to study for the TOEIC test. I have created a Google Classroom (the join code is 2kqfbwo) The Google Classroom will also offer other resources in addition to TOEIC. Students can view the Google Classroom materials for free, but students have to buy their own copy of a textbook to use the online learning software. The textbook cannot be shared.
The textbook I am looking at is titled TOEIC Skills Level 1. It comes from ABAX Publishing. The textbook is aimed at CEFR level A2. The official webpage for the CEFR (the original is here) says that someone at the A2 level...
"Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need."
See the next blog post about a couple free online tests with which you can check your CEFR level for free. You can skip the description and try the tests here.
